"Because this is Forever" by Lena Hart is a well written novel detailing a refreshingly tender love story that harkens back to the time when stories could draw a reader in with mere substance instead of salaciousness. Ms. Hart did a wonderful job telling the story of Nate and Mia and their adorable son Mikey; the transition from Mia's point of view to Nate's point of view was seamless without regurgitating the same information.

Unresolved past hurts and hopeless romance thrown in with a dash of pride and things quickly go south; the reader can certainly empathize with both the hero and heroine and see why they made the decisions they did, but in the end love raid its precious head and bonded this adorable family together.

This is the first book that I have read by MS. Hart, but it will not be my last "Because this is Forever" surely has warranted the works of Ms. Hart another look.

A very good story of rash judgements that makes our lives harder than it needs to be. We make wrong decisions and as a result we say things that hurt others as well as ourselves. True love is true love no matter what the circumstances are. This story only proves that if we let it love will find a way. Happiness is possible if we reach for it.
4.25 stars. The story of Nate McArthur and Mia Trent ends the series. There is a myriad of drama in this story Mia does a lot of crying and hanging from the "cross"; Nate is often accusatory, guilt ridden, introspective and in the end gentle and loving, there is a conniving sister, an embezzling employee, an ex-con and arsonist, foiled kidnap attempts, illness and death; but just before you scream, pull your hair out and throw you hands up, it ends! The couple and their immediate family members find the love and forgiveness needed to secure a strong bond and HEA. Nice ending for this couple along with an update on the other two couples in the series.
I bought this book last June and just read it yesterday and so glad I did. It is a well written book about a relationship that crosses many lines, is complicated but in the end is a very satisfying story and I loved both Mia and Nate. Mikey, the little boy, adds a lot to the story and is the bond of this relationship that gives Nate and Mia another chance for love. Amazing how children can bring people together and help adults realize what is important in life. First time reading this author and will read more.
I really liked this book. The characters were believable and she made the main characters relationship real with real problems that weren't fix too easily. They worked for their HEA. The only thing I really wished was for a little more about the other relationships in the book. The author did well with the father son relationships all around, but the sister, sister, sister-in-law relationship and disgruntled employee relationship could have been more in depth without taking away from the main story. I hope she writes a story about the sister! I would like to see her grow up!
This book was a lot more than I expected. Love, Loss and betrayal. Let me start by saying the sister, Leah. A completed WITCH, with a capital B. The main characters, Nate and Mia both played major part in the way their relationship went both, made mistakes and both learned from them. I thought Mia started as a strong woman but, by the end she came off a little weak especially the way she interacted with her sister, she constantly made excuses for her behavior. Nate should have maned up to his father way earlier in the book. It was an unexpected good book, had some twists I didn't expect but, it flowed with the story. Good read.
“All I want is Forever” I don’t know why but that song was stuck in my head while I was reading this book. This was my first book by Lena Hart and it will not be my last. Very well written, strong dialog and heartfelt emotions from the characters. Mia and Nate have a ‘love jones’ that just will not leave them alone. I enjoyed the slow progression of their reunion, it wasn’t rushed or hurried which is real if you truly have been hurt and have had your heart broken. I wish Mia had more confidence to tell Nate the truth early on but perhaps then we would not have had such a good love story. My heard ached for Nate as ached over the love of his heart. I could barely stand the wait for them to be reunited finally as a family. The writing was smooth and forward moving at all times. One reviewer didn’t like the sister’s attitude and behavior- for me she was real, painful and heartbreaking to read but I felt that she was real. Jealousy is an ugly thing and unfortunately it can and will destroy even sister’s relationship. Outstanding Job Lena Hart cannot wait to read another one.
This was truly a nice clean love story about a privilege man who was never shown love by his parents and a striving black female who was trying to create a better life but who had lost a father when he walked out of their lives. Nate the son of a billionaire had a very cold relationship with his father due to neglect and cold treatment of him by his parents. His parents hadn't married for love but for convenience and had shipped him off to school without much of a backward look. Mia family composed of her mother and sister Leah who were not real close but was there for each other. Mia became pregnant after a short romance with Nate who stated that he never wanted to get married nor have children. After being fired by Nate dad when he realized that his assistant and son were involved she left town and gave birth to his son. Nate never knowing that Mia was pregnant and she not wanting to burden him with a child he didn't want until five years later she needed help.
